Waste Types, and Why It’s Important
Certain types of waste are prohibited from being placed in skip bins by law.
In addition, the dumps where we dispose of your waste have very strict guidelines, which we are bound to abide by.
It is critical that you correctly identify the type of waste you are going to place in your bin to avoid additional charges imposed by the disposal facility.

General Waste
Accepted Waste Items
General household waste – Boxes, light timber, furniture, white goods, electrical appliances, clothes, toys, carpet, green waste (additional costs apply to remove mattress, televisions, monitors, tyres, gas bottles, carpet & instant turf).
Prohibited Waste Items
Bricks, pavers, tiles, concrete, small stones, rocks, food (putrid) waste, asbestos, liquid waste (paints, oils, thinners, chemicals), plaster, heavy timber, tree trunks, sleepers are not accepted as general waste.
Special Instructions
We can advise you on removing prohibited items, often at low or no cost. Plaster and heavy timber’s is in the mixed heavy rates below.
Heavy Waste
Accepted Waste Items
Bricks, pavers, tiles, concrete and rocks are accepted by the recyclable quarry waste.
Please note – No other waste types can be included, We recycle 100% of heavy waste but it cannot be recycled if it’s mixed with any general waste. So it’s a strict policy of not mixing any other waste, not even the smallest amount.
If you have other waste we can do it separately at the lower rate applicable to that waste type as we do not charge for callouts or time.
Prohibited Waste Items
All general waste and items such as grass, soil, lawn, asbestos, timbers, organic waste, plaster boards, household waste, electrical waste are not accepted as quarry waste
Special Instructions
There are no weight limits based upon the bins weight rating. Be aware you cannot load any bin more than the legal weight capacity. Large penalties apply. So talk to us and we will avoid penalises and any issues.
Mixed Waste
Accepted Waste Items
General waste types plus plaster and heavy timber and most construction waste types except heavy Rubble waste.
It is important that you let us know when you order your bin that you have mixed waste to ensure no additional costs will apply upon collection or disposal.
Prohibited Waste Items
Bricks, pavers, tiles, concrete, small stones, rocks, food (putrid) waste, asbestos, liquid waste (paints, oils, thinners, chemicals), tree trunks, sleepers are not accepted as general waste.
